Our very special part of Wales
Penlanlas Farm lies in the heart of the Welsh countryside in West Wales. Our founder, Kate, was brought up on the farm, but then spent many years between London and Wales following a varied career in the interiors, art and fragrance industries.
She decided to learn the skills of artisanal soap-making as a way to make the most of the fantastic natural ingredients growing in the beautiful countryside all around the farm. In 2018, the family made Wales their permanent home again.
Join the slow soap movement
We follow the traditional cold process method - the most natural as well as the slowest – to produce small batches of the highest quality, gently cleansing and moisturising soap possible. Like a long, relaxing bath, there are some good things you just can’t rush. Each bar is handmade and takes weeks to cure which helps to maintain the integrity of the nutrients, essential oils and vitamins in our soap.

Natural bounty
The pure local ingredients that go into Penlanlas soaps and help to make them smell and feel so delicious include: spring water from our very own bore hole; home grown calendula, daffodil and lavender; strawberries; honey from local beehives; goat’s milk from a local Award Winning herd and seaweed gathered by hand from nearby beaches.
Local or exotic, always pure
The only ingredients that don’t come from the fields, hedgerows and coast around us are the pure botanical and essential oils, chosen for their restorative and therapeutic properties, sustainable palm oil and ultra luxurious and moisturising pure unrefined Shea butter.
No funny stuff
Forget parabens, SLS and any weird-and-not-so-wonderful sounding chemicals. Penlanlas soaps are 100% plant and vegetable based and never ever tested on animals.

Kind to your skin, kind to our environment
We believe in celebrating nature and making the most of what is around us. We make products that make people feel good, as well as being kind to the environment. Every bar of soap in our range is 100% natural, luxuriously creamy, smells divine, helps gently cleanse and nourish the skin (even the most sensitive bods will love its soothing properties), and is a treat for the senses.

All the packaging for Penlanlas Cymru soaps is as environmentally clean as the soap it wraps - made from recycled and recyclable materials. We also recycle boxes and use as much recycled packaging as possible when packing parcels for shipping.
